Scott Gillogly, MD is currently the Chief Medical Officer at Aspetar Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Hospital in Doha, Qatar. He is a board certified Orthopaedic Surgeon and former President and Fellowship Director of Atlanta Sports Medicine. He is a Fellow of the AAOS, AOSSM, ACS and the Herodicus Society. Dr Gillogly was the Head Team Physician and Orthopaedic Surgeon for the Atlanta Falcons NFL Football Team and the Atlanta Thrashers NHL Hockey Club and Team Physician of the Atlanta Braves MLB Club. Dr Gillogly is an early pioneer in using autologous chondrocyte cells for repair of cartilage defects in the knee and continues cartilage research in natural history and outcomes. Dr Gillogly has published and presented extensively throughout the world on cartilage restoration, concomitant surgery to correct abnormal knee pathomechanics, ACL and other relevant topics in sports medicine. He is a member of the International Cartilage Repair Society and ISAKOS.
