Efraim Kramer is an Adjunct professor of Emergency Medicine at Wits University in Johannesburg, Extraordinary professor of Sports Medicine at Pretoria university in Pretoria and serves as Football Emergency Medicine physician for F-MARC and FIFA Medical Department. His main academic activities in recent years has been devoted to the study, research, education and training of Sudden Cardiac Arrest on the Football Field of Play, its aetiology, prevention and on-the-field- acute medical management in order to prevent the tragic death in a single player or referee. He is co-editor of the FIFA Football Emergency Medicine Manual and associated FIFA Football Emergency Medicine Course and an active contributor to the Online Distance Learning - FIFA Diploma in Football Medicine.
